Crayford Park, Kent

This is a small park, in the centre of Bexley and had been a largely underused and forgotten space in the town. The council wished to change its appearance and introduce large pieces of artworks to ensure that the park became once again the heart of the community and a safe place to sit, walk and play.

The structures were designed by the landscape architects and the brief was for thee pieces to eb brought to life after dark. A bridge across the river that runs through the park required sympathetic illumination, ensuring no detriment to local wildlife.

LEDs were used to ensure energy saving and provide tight control of the light distribution. Colour changing was employed to great advantage, especially where used to enhance the visual effect of the slow movement of the water.
