Lighting design consultancy Studio EG was founded in 2013 by managing director Ellie Greisen. After spending 10 years in the lighting industry working for renowned designers; John Bullock, Equation and LDI, Ellie embarked on her own venture, setting up a studio that would enable her to offer a flexible and personalised approach.
Since launching Studio EG, the company has gone from strength to strength, collaborating with a friendly and diverse team of talented designers. By keeping the studio small and carefully selecting designers with the most relevant skills, Studio EG can deliver a creative service targeted to the clients’ needs.
The company has maintained a reputation for being completely impartial, using the best products on the global market and keeping abreast of the latest technological innovations to achieve outstanding results.
Face-to-face meetings form an integral part of Studio EG’s design process and are key to delivering a personal service that instils a trust between client and lighting designer. This personalised and carefully considered approach extends into Studio EG’s design ethos, with each project being treated individually and by never adopting a template approach. Within just five years of launching, Studio EG has accumulated a varied portfolio, creating standout designs for hotels, offices and landscapes through to heritage sites, bars, restaurants and residential projects.
