Following a recent revitalisation of the Concord downlight family, Concord has focused on bringing the highest quality, sustainable products to the forefront of the architectural lighting industry. With that, comes the introduction of our latest downlight, Solstice.
The launch of Solstice was the perfect opportunity to relaunch Concord to a new generation of architects, lighting designers, specifiers and contractors. The highly successful launch event in the UK on Thursday 14th September at Glaziers Hall in London, SE1 has made a great start at revitalising the brand and showing the market what we are capable of at Concord.
The conceptual event was born out of an idea from the whole team. How we could take the concept of a ‘lifetime in light’ and juxtapose that with the brand. It was an idea which conveys how Concord through many decades of being at the forefront of the industry, creating high end architectural lighting, could also be linked to classic and iconic design through time. This was done through emotive storytelling, which also presented a campaign that fully portrays what the future holds for Concord in the UK.

Solstice’s sleek, minimalistic, eco-friendly design, made with high quality aluminium materials makes it almost entirely recyclable at the end of product lifetime, in line with our goal of becoming net zero by 2030. Solstice is manufactured and designed in the UK, ensuring that it remains close to our customers in Europe whilst significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
In addition, as we have manufacturing and R&D facilities in the UK, France and Germany, we can design, develop and produce innovative lighting solutions like Solstice and deliver them to market with pace and agility.

Designed and developed around a bespoke reflector system enables customisation options for the Solstice range to be vast. The range is available in a variety of colours to ensure there are options for every style of project. The product comes in standard black or white heat sink and is available in four reflector colours.
The range includes body sizes from 150mm to 250mm and lumens from 1200lm to high performing 6000lm. This ensures that Solstice offers specifiers a broad range of options from one shared platform whilst having the freedom to choose based on requirements.
Ease of assembly with snap fit design allows parts of the Solstice can be swapped easily and are simple to upgrade or change in the future.
Solstice guarantees the highest visual comfort, due to the deep and floating reflector design and low glare light of UGR<19 for lumens lower than 2400lm. Wide light distribution of approximately 70 degrees makes the Solstice range perfect for office, hotel and retail settings.
