Its not that we haven’t been here before -or, at least, we think that we’ve been here before. But there is a growing difference between what we thought we knew about lighting and healthcare and what we’re now actually experiencing. The interaction between Science and Technology that both sides of that Great Divide have been calling for over the past decade (and more) is finally bearing fruit – and very impressive fruit it is, to be sure.
.
Here’s the thing: as we see more real-world evidence it’s important that we’re able to take the knowledge gleaned from specific projects and events and share it around the table with other teams working in the same field. It may sound counter-commercial to be sharing outcomes, but this is about people’s health and well-being and if we ever needed collegiate thinking in the world – it’s now.
Dr. Shelley James, of Age of Light Innovations is hosting a round-table webinar with pioneering healthcare providers sitting alongside leading scientists and technologists in the field. It’s also important that we learn about the role that AI has to play in this sector, as it impacts on both patients, residents and staff across the residential healthcare sectors.
The impressive list of speakers reads like a who’s who of circadian expertise (because IT IS a list of circadian expertise both here and in Denmark:
- Dr Shelley James: introduces
- Professor Shadab Rahman, Brixham and Women’s Hospital
- Dr Anders Sode West, Rikshospitalet, Denmark
- Professor Stuart Peirson, Oxford University (tbc)
- Ed Russell, WCS Care, UK
- Leanne Scrogham, Abbeyfield, UK
- Jim Hempel, Odense Commune, Denmark
- David Poxton, Ashmere Homes, UK
John Bullock will be providing background support for the webinar, handling audience questions.
