Intro text.
Who wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to interview one of the lighting industries most well-known faces? But what about if that person is also your boss? Mmmm . . . let me just think about that. Excuse me . . .Mr. Bullock?
On the upside you will already have a few insights into the person, having worked for them for a few years, and so enabling you to ask some interesting insightful questions. On the downside, you could a) Completely muck up the interview and make them question your sanity and/or b) ask something so insulting that you are fired on the spot. Well, in for a penny in for a pound – as my Gran used to say!
.
.
If you don’t know John Bullock (and where have you been?!) he has been in the industry for 50 years, 40 of which as an independent lighting designer. He’s pursued a variety of roles in lighting and journalism and is now the editor-in-chief of The Light Review. There is no doubt this man is what we would call a lighting success story, so if you want to find out what it takes to get where John is now, tune in to this sunny and uplifting interview in Catch at the Old Fish Market, Weymouth’s Michelin star restaurant, for a taste of summer, good craic, and some rather fine lighting!
