We still talk a lot about the LED Revolution, but that’s because it really has been a revolution. The lighting world has not looked the same since we shifted to that tiny electronic light source.
It also means that the design conversation has changed radically. Where once lamp metrics were a given – the designer having selected the desired source, everyone else ‘knew’ what that entailed, LED development has removed that knowledge and certainty; we are now all obliged to find out how any LED source actually functions.
All of this means that any LED company that takes the process seriously will have engaged fully with the manufacturing community. And that brings us to Xicato and Stoane Lighting – a working relationship made in a very nice place.
