I was introduced to Lys Technologies a couple of years ago, when we were looking at the Biophilic Office project that was being run at the Building Research Establishment in Watford. Back in February 2019 I was walking around with a wearable sensor from Lys. It was recording my ‘Light Diet’ and I have to say that I was won over by the simplicity of the device and program. As a home worker it became an important reference to determining how I needed to organise my day.
- This is what I wrote at the time:
- Wellness: taking care of your circadian rhythm
- Wellness: reporting the Light Diet
Well – here we are in late 2020 and experiencing a very different working environment; thousands of people have been obliged to follow my way of working (and living). Lys have produced a blog dedicated to how we can
‘Stay Healthy and engaged whilst working from Home with Lys.’
.

This is important stuff, not just for the home working individual but also for employers who require their staff to do just that. Health and Safety legislation still applies even if your employees are enjoying the familiarity of the entirely inappropriate working environment that is their home.
All I can say is that, as someone who’s had the benefit of applying the findings of the Lys program to my daily work pattern, this is a great tool.
