I got together with Andrew Bissell and Iain Macrae to talk about the idea that has been floated in the SLL ‘Light Lines’ magazine – that we’ve doing lighting design – and lighting calculations – wrong all these years and what we should really be doing is embracing The Ambient Lighting Manifesto.
Well, it wasn’t long before the conversation strayed into a different par of the forest – the same forest, but the smell is different. Andrew asked the simple question: “Who Should be a Lighting Designer?” Like a couple of terriers chasing a ball, Iain and I ran barking into the undergrowth.
BLIMEY!
