The Insight Series from The Light Review gives you, our dedicated, talented, readership, hints and perspectives from the best in the industry on a variety of topics, all in bite-sized, easy to digest, pieces.
Knowledge is power! The beautiful thing about the lighting industry is its breadth and depth, which makes it impossible to be an expert on everything. I don’t know about you, but whenever I start on a new realm of lighting, I will always have a scout about, reading magazines and chatting to those in the industry to get their take – to get their insights.
Whether you are a designer just starting out, or a veteran who remembers the days when LEDs were just something that let you know your tv was still on, you can’t put a price on knowledge from those who have practiced what they preach, who are at the top of their game.
In this ever-expanding series, we’ll cover (take a deep breath) Landscapes, Healthcare, Transport Interchanges, Education, Indoor Sports, Retail, Places of Worship, Hotels and leisure and much more. As for the presenters? As lighting glitterati go, you cannot get any better.
The standout for me in this series is the way in which many of the designers dissect the subject matter, how the client’s hope’s, needs and wishes differ, and how the subtleties of lighting can be such an influence in making a space.
